Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) – Independence, KS 67301
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills and build retailer relationships while serving as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Starting hourly pay: $14.00 to $16.00, depending on skills and experience.
- Eligible for annual pay increases.
- Part‑time position with a variable schedule.
- Average weekly hours: 8‑10 hours per week.
- Availability required the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Use a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products inside and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer required merchandising surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is vital. - Holiday support:
Lead up to and after holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas you may work additional days and extended hours, including on the holiday itself and weekends. - Department resets:
Participate in building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Provide a two‑week notice for remodel assignments which may take place during evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration:
Support other field merchandisers as needed across territories.
Physical labor is required. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry items up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You will kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday and may need to climb stairs or step ladders. The role involves selling floor activity and work in back stockrooms.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Physical capacity to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficiency in using a digital handheld device for reading documents and interpreting information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
- Ability to adapt to variable schedules and holiday work requirements.
