As a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) at Pet Supplies Plus, you are passionate about pets and people. Your responsibilities include:

• Encouraging pets to participate in grooming activities and celebrating their progress
• Attending free, paid training through the renowned Paragon School of Pet Grooming, if aspiring to become a Groomer
• Getting familiar with grooming tools and equipment
• Learning to bathe and style dogs to breed standards
• Receiving a free toolkit worth over $600 upon hire if enrolling in the Paragon program

Other key responsibilities:

• Providing grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming
• Learning and demonstrating grooming skills through online training
• Ensuring the safety and wellness of pets
• Building relationships with customers and recommending products/services
• Maintaining a clean and inviting grooming environment
• Completing safety training certification
• Assisting team members during grooming downtime

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience with pets in retail or other industries (preferred but not required)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Stamina to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods
• Ability to review videos and complete online tests
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Pass drug screening and a selection test; must be at least 18 years old
