• Ensure all products are properly prepared (cutting and trimming), handled, wrapped, and merchandised.
• Receive and inspect all meat deliveries upon arrival to verify condition, quantity, and weight.
• Assist in planning special promotions and displays.
• Maintain signage, correct weights (tare and packaging), and pricing.
• Rotate merchandise according to code dating policy.
• Keep display cases full and merchandise stocked.
• Maintain clean, sanitized, and hazard‑free meat department fixtures, equipment, and area.
• Handle store property and equipment responsibly to maximize their use.
• Perform freshness checks and recondition product.
• Maintain product knowledge and merchandising skills to meet department goals.
• Provide courteous and friendly customer relations.
• Keep records as requested.
• Order meat products as requested.
• Operate saws, cubers, slicers, scales, grinders, and labeling machines.
• Assist customers and employees.
• Prepare, weigh, package, price, and stock merchandise to maximize gross profit.
• Sweeping, cleaning, and mopping functions.
• Operate telephones and intercoms with proper etiquette.
• Follow all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Self‑starter.
• Read and write.
• Perform basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
• Give and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Provide verbal and physical assistance to customers.
• Lift and stack up to 100 pounds.
• Pull or push wheeled vehicles weighing up to 1,000 pounds.
• Reach and stock product up to 6 feet high.
