• A knowledgeable Structural Engineer with a minimum of 10-15 years’ experience having an in depth understanding of structural design and deliverables development in the heavy industrial construction market sector
• Following procedures and assisting the Chief Structural Engineer in the operation of the structural department including proposal development, sales and marketing, staff development, project budgets, staff scheduling, and communication with clients.
• Collaborating and adhering to company, department, and client standards and procedures to prepare design deliverables that meet project requirements and leading a team of engineers and designers in the same.
• Directing and training designers and junior engineers toward completion of construction documents and having a working knowledge of Revit and applicable structural design software.
• Remaining continually vigilant in finding opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
• Performing structural steel framing design, foundation design, concrete framing design, civil sitework design using data from mechanical and electrical disciplines, as well as client and vendor information sources.
• Having extensive knowledge of applicable building codes and their applicability in our industry.

• Act as Lead Structural on multi-discipline projects and independently manage projects with majority structural scope.
• Periodically participate in weekly staffing forecast meeting with department chiefs and project managers. Understand the current structural department workload and schedules to provide direction and planning of the work priorities to be performed in the next three weeks.
• Direct and manage project execution of other engineers and designers
• Multi-task on several projects and adapt to changing scope and deadlines.
• Run project meetings and discussions; prepare associated notes and minutes.
• Assist in company sales, marketing and proposal/estimate development.
• Define, interpret, manage, and track assigned project budgets, schedules, and scopes.
• Direct preparation of construction documents.
