The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The Speech Therapist supervises therapy aides and students.
What you will do in this role- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient.
- Coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.
- Develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.
- Deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient's needs.
- Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and colleagues.
- Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology required.
- American Speech & Hearing Association membership.
- Current Missouri State professional license or license eligibility.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for clinical fellowship.
- One year of work experience or clinical internship required.
- Minimum 1 year hospital/health‑care related experience required.
- Basic computer skills in word processing, internet.
