Dietary Aide Opportunity at Three Trails Behavioral Hospital
Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is seeking a compassionate and dependable Dietary Aide to support our Nutritional Services team. In this role, you will help provide nutritious meals and a positive dining experience for patients receiving behavioral health services. The Dietary Aide will:
- Prepare and serve meals according to established dietary guidelines and patient needs.
- Assist with meal tray assembly, food portioning, and meal delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and food preparation areas.
- Work collaboratively with dietary, nursing, and clinical teams to support patient care.
- Follow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation standards.
Three Trails Behavioral Hospital will:
- Serve children and adolescents, adults, and seniors with innovative and evidence-based inpatient behavioral healthcare focused on individual needs and comfort.
- Create more than 200 new, full-time jobs including nurses, clinicians, therapists, technicians, and administrative staff, when the facility is fully operational.
- Be located at the intersection of I-70 and Little Blue Parkway, adjacent to the Children's Mercy Hospital Outpatient Clinics.
- Feature 120 licensed beds ready to meet the mental health needs of the surrounding community.
- Span more than 88,000 square feet, and will include an activity yard and gym.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous food service, dietary, healthcare, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items throughout the shift.
