As we continue our journey, we’re seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team and support our legal operations.
Position Summary:
The Legal Assistant at Lotus Hospitality will support the company’s legal team with a range of responsibilities, including document preparation, contract management, and compliance monitoring. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
• Handle office correspondence and administrative tasks such as responding to emails and phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and letting the team know about upcoming deadlines
• Schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, make travel arrangements, and coordinate with outside vendors for events
• Accept other administrative tasks as needed to assist the team and ensure the firm runs smoothly
• Use daily time records to properly process client billing with support from the accounting department
• Conduct legal research, when necessary, with guidance from attorneys and paralegals
• Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain and organize legal files, records, and documentation.
• Assist with regulatory compliance filings and monitor relevant deadlines.
• Conduct research on legal issues related to hospitality and real estate.
• Communicate with external legal counsel and coordinate necessary documentation.
• Provide administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling and managing correspondence.
Qualifications:
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times
• Candidates should be able to type at least 50 words per minute
• At least 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks
• Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products
• Candidates must have worked with legal software, case management, and docketing programs Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 yearly

Compensation:
$60,000-$70,000 per year
