A leading global flexible packaging company, Pro Ampac, is actively hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing team at our Kansas City, MO facility. The role focuses on electronic, electrical, and mechanical installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance in a fast‑paced, safety‑oriented manufacturing environment.
Base Pay Range$29.00/hr - $32.00/hr

The role includes maintaining plant safety, housekeeping standards, and quality checks; disassembling and reassembling manufacturing machinery; reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and process control diagrams; troubleshooting and calibrating level, pressure, temperature, and flow instruments; and working with electronic controls, relay logic systems, and process instrumentation.
Responsibilities- Maintain plant safety, housekeeping standards, and quality checks within a manufacturing environment.
- Disassemble and reassemble manufacturing machinery.
- Read and interpret schematics and process control diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and calibrate level, pressure, temperature, and flow measuring instruments.
- Work with electronic controls and circuits, hard‑wire relay logic systems, and process instrumentation.
- Read blueprints and equipment manuals.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on machines.
- Supply personal tools.
- Provide proof of technical certifications.
- Day: 7am – 7pm / Rotating Schedule
- Night: 7pm – 7am / Rotating Schedule
- $29.05 – $32.30/hr starting
- Additional increases up to $30.55 – $36.05/hr
Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
- 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems
- Journeyman’s License
- Electrical Troubleshooting
- Pneumatics Troubleshooting
- Maintenance and Repair Skills
- Industrial Electrical Experience
- Machine Safety Inspections
- 2+ years of training and/or similar experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must complete the Ramsey Test Multi Craft Test Journey Level
- Packaging Machines
