SummaryThe Quality Assurance / Risk Management Nurse oversees quality assurance, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance to promote resident safety and high‑quality care. This role supports surveillance, reporting, staff education, and continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor infections, antibiotic use, cultures, and specimens
- Ensure proper precautions and infection‑control practices
- Review new admissions for accurate diagnoses and immunizations
- Complete required QA, NHSN, lab, and public health reporting
- Track infection trends and prepare QA reports
- Conduct staff education and clinical competencies
- Participate in risk management, fall review, and facility assessments
- Support emergency preparedness and regulatory compliance
- Current RN or LPN license
- Quality assurance, risk management, or infection prevention experience required
- Long‑term care experience preferred
- Strong documentation and regulatory knowledge
