Overview

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team. Salary: $13.75 to $16.45 per hour. Commission structure pays you for every transaction you process, with potential earnings from commissions up to 8% on transactions (which could average an additional $1.19 per hour on top of base pay).

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The role involves engaging with customers, assisting with inquiries and problem resolution, and working with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity, with final pay based on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per established policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using appropriate communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Completes assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties, as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to stand for extended periods and perform duties including walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting, per applicable laws.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers on exterior areas or retrieve products stored in exterior locations.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on personal performance. Additional details are shared during the interview process.
