We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Independence plant at Rinker Materials, one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, and bridge products for stormwater and sanitary applications.

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.
- Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problems.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, switches, and valves.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed.
- Install, maintain, and repair low‑ and high‑voltage electrical systems.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects and ensure efficient operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving maintenance issues promptly.
- Work on tall structures using a manlift, climb ladders, and use safety harnesses.
- Business/technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience; one plus year in a manufacturing plant.
- Working knowledge of large machine operation and construction of infrastructure.
- Technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, and electronics.
- Clear, concise verbal instructions and active listening skills.
- General computer skills:
Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and database systems. - Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions, and equipment manuals.
- Diagnostic problem‑solving techniques and detail orientation.
- Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication.
- Valid driver’s license.
