CDL-A Regional Driver

Eastern Jackson County drivers:
Midwest regional freight, home weekly, paid training for new CDL holders.

Mostly drop and hook, the same planner every week, and home or through the house often. New CDL grads start with a paid mentor.

Regional lanes across the Midwest, majority drop and hook. Home weekly for your 34-hour reset.

• How often will I see home?  Once a week, for your 34-hour reset.
• Does my CDL school count?  If it was 120 hours or more, yes.
• Do I pay for orientation?  No. Hotel covered, bus ticket reimbursed, and $300 once you are hired.
• I am not good at backing yet.  Nobody is on day one. You practice for weeks with a mentor beside you before you drive alone.
• What if my first solo weeks are slow?  You still get at least $1,000 a week for your first 3 months solo.

A recruiter calls the same business day and goes over your license and record with you. Orientation takes 2 days at most; the hotel is covered, your bus ticket is reimbursed, and you get $300 for attending once hired. Then you ride 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor who coaches you on backing, logs, fueling and trip planning, and you are paid $850 a week while you learn.

When you are ready, you get your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.

You must be 21 or older with a Class A CDL. New drivers need at least 120 hours from a CDL school; otherwise, 6 months of recent experience. We accept up to 2 moving violations in the last 2 years and no DUI/DWI in the last 10. You will also pass a DOT physical and a hair and urine drug test.
