Product Expert Bulk Supply Chain (Open)

Industrial Applications, a subsidiary of Air Liquide, focuses on industrial IT solutions that improve customer performance through monitoring, control, availability, reliability, and optimization. The ALTO product is the core solution used by Air Liquide Group for managing and optimizing the bulk supply chain and includes:

  • ALTO.Forecast – forecast customer consumption based on IoT data
  • ALTO.Planning – manage resources and prepare distribution planning
  • ALTO.Trip Assist – optimize distribution by solving inventory routing problems
  • ALTO.Mobile – support and capture shift execution
  • ALTO.Live – track, monitor field activity in real time and display alarms based on criticality
Role Overview

The Product Expert interfaces with business and technical stakeholders for requirement gathering, product evolutions, and requirement qualification. He or she contributes to product development and design according to the product roadmap, owns solution deployment, ensures maintenance, and serves as Level 3 support for incident/problem processes. The role works closely within the Product Line, the Regional Unit, and other Industrial Applications stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribution to product development and evolution
  • Interface with customers for requirement gathering and product evolutions
  • Configure the product according to customer needs and identify gaps
  • Qualification of requirements with all stakeholders (product team & client)
  • Produce statements of work and functional documentation on product evolutions
  • Redact technical specifications (story board and functional specification) and interface with development teams to define technical solutions
  • Promote value creation initiatives around the product
  • Release management and follow up of development tasks
  • Internal testing coordination and coordination with the testing team
  • Coordinate user acceptance tests, receive feedback from users and transform it into new requirements if applicable
  • Adaptive maintenance (management of product upgrades/patches)
  • Assist users with Level 3 support, analyze and resolve incidents, interface with development team to deliver fixes
  • Help Level 2 team acquire technology domain skills through training and knowledge transfer
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering, Information Technology or a related field
  • Experience in IT products development and operations, Cloud technology, SQL language
  • Experience in supply‑chain optimization
  • Experience with IT Project/Product Management (nice to have)
  • Knowledge of industrial operations (nice to have)
  • Understanding of financial aspects of product management (nice to have)
  • Fluent in English
  • Analytical, autonomous, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
  • Planning, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to explain a complex product roadmap to a varied audience
  • Capacity to adjust communication to different interlocutors and situations
  • Leadership qualities and networking, ability to convince interlocutors
  • Understand change management and the value of consensus within a community with multiple stakeholders
