Duties & Responsibilities:

• Mechanical design of pneumatic machinery including prototypes testing, and trouble shooting.
• Use of 2D / 3D Solid Works software to generate complete machine assembly drawings.
• Develop testing plans, operation manuals, and other pertinent documentation related to machinery.
• Responsible for design concept and layout using Solid Works and AutoCAD.
• Performs engineering design analysis when needed. (FEA, material performance, and stress analysis)
• Responsible for mechanical component, material, performance, and cost related decisions.
• Supervises all prototype builds and manages functional validation of new design releases or product modifications.
• Releases products into production. Provides technical support during start-up of new product production.
• Provides technical leadership to Drafters to develop detailed drawings from layouts.
• Participates in design projects for new product development, specific applications, product maintenance, quality, and cost reduction.
• Works closely with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Assembly departments to ensure the highest quality and lowest cost.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and 4-10 years of related design experience.
• 3+ years of machine design and automation experience is preferred.
• Experience with solid modeling CAD systems, such as Solid Works, is required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
