We are seeking an experienced Roadway Design Engineer – Project Manager in our Cleveland, Ohio office.

Annual Compensation
: $95,000 – $185,000 based on experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

• Responsible for scope, fees, and profitability of individual projects as well as a portfolio of projects.
• Act as point person and firm contact with clients while functioning as project manager.
• Assist in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects.
• Guide and coordinate all internal LJB transportation disciplines, sub‑consultants, and clients.
• Have a basic understanding of the other transportation disciplines and what they require.
• Manage the nine PMI knowledge areas for each project phase, including:
  • Project Integration Management
  • Project Scope Management
  • Project Time Management
  • Project Cost Management
  • Project Quality Management
  • Project Human Resource Management
  • Project Communications Management
  • Project Risk Management
  • Project Procurement Management
  • Assist Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices.
• On larger projects, may or may not be directly involved in the design.
• Report employee performance on projects to the Deputy Operations Manager.
• Provide information to the Deputy Operations Manager on future projects to aid staffing decisions.
• Assist in informal development of other employees.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• P.E. license required;
  North Carolina PE preferred. Successful candidates are expected to obtain NC PE within the first year of hire.

• At least 10 years of consulting or engineering experience; 5 years of project management experience preferred.
• Experience working on DOT design projects required; experience with multiple DOTs is a plus.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM and Project Management software preferred.
• Experience with Micro Station, Open Roads, AutoCAD, and Civil‑3D software preferred.
