Structural Bridge Engineer – Project Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Bridge Engineer – Project Manager to support and grow our Transportation Practice in our Cleveland, Ohio office.
Annual Compensation: $95,000 – 185,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

Essential Functions- Responsible for management, scope, fees, and the profitability of individual projects and project portfolio.
- Act as point person and firm’s contact with clients while functioning as project manager.
- Assist in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects.
- Guide and coordinate internal LJB transportation disciplines with sub‑consultants and clients.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Have an understanding of all transportation disciplines and requirements as related to bridge design projects.
- Assist Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices.
- On larger projects, may or may not be involved directly in the design.
- Inform Operations Management of employee performance on projects.
- Provide information to Deputy Operations Manager on future projects to aid staffing decisions.
- Assist in informal development of other employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required; M.S. degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- P.E. license required.
- Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
- At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering.
- Experience working with DOTs required.
- Project team leadership experience.
- Project and client management experience.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills required.
- Experience with Micro Station, Open Roads, AutoCAD, and Civil‑3D software is preferred.
