The employee’s primary duties involve procuring and originating consumer-based residential mortgage loans. Responsibilities include soliciting, receiving, and originating applications for credit extensions to purchase and refinance 1-4 unit residential properties, secured by a first-lien mortgage or deed of trust, and providing supporting service to consumer applicants. Ensuring an exceptional customer experience by overseeing loan processing from origination to closing, and maintaining ongoing communication with customers.

• Know applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, company rules, and policies.
• Contact consumers to establish new business opportunities.
• Consult with consumers about their needs and goals.
• Advise and educate consumers on the home purchase or refinance process, including loan terms, rates, fees, and costs.
• Gather consumer information and utilize expertise to optimize clients' financial situations.
• Take and process credit applications.
• Manage the loan application process from start to finish using various systems.
• Assist and communicate with consumers throughout the loan process.
• Meet with customers during various stages of the loan process as needed.
• Use reference tools and resources to provide accurate loan program information.
• Provide complete loan applications and support materials to fulfillment partners.
• Promote the company to grow market share and meet production goals.
• Ensure daily clock hours are entered before the end of the pay period.

• Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to manage personal finances.
• Current Loan Originator license or eligibility to obtain one after hire.
• Maintain good standing for all licenses held.
• Intermediate knowledge of office practices, procedures, and computer skills.
• Experience with document-imaging technology.
• Effective in-person and phone etiquette skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

• Familiarity with Loan Origination Systems and related software.
• Ability to manage social media websites.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of loan products and programs of FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, FHA, VA, USDA.
• Experience with down payment assistance bond programs or other specialized lending structures.
• Motivation to build business within a team environment.
