Industrial Applications, a subsidiary of Air Liquide, operates across multiple global locations and focuses on the end‑to‑end design, hosting, implementation, and maintenance of Industrial IT solutions to improve customer performance.
Within Industrial Applications, the Bulk Supply Chain team manages ALTO, the core solution for managing and optimizing Air Liquide Group’s bulk supply chain. The key features of ALTO are:
- ALTO.Forecast – Forecast the customer consumption, based on IoT.
- ALTO.Planning – Manage resources and prepare distribution planning.
- ALTO.Trip Assist – Optimize distribution by solving inventory routing problems.
- ALTO.Mobile – Support and capture the shifts execution.
- ALTO.Live – Track, monitor field activity in real time and display alarms based on calculated criticality.
The Product Expert interfaces with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, drive product evolutions, and qualify requirements. The role contributes to product development, design, deployment, maintenance, and acts as Level 3 support.
Collaborates closely with the Product Line, Regional Unit, and other Internal Industrial Applications stakeholders.
Team structure in Cleveland:
- Engagement Lead – Owns the global relationship and satisfaction.
- Product Expert – Owns product implementation, development, deployment, and Level 3 support.
- Product Delivery Manager (PDM) – Owns the Run phase (SLA‑AME).
- Contribute to product development and interface with customers for requirement gathering and evolutions.
- Gather requirements, configure the product, and identify gaps not covered by the product.
- Qualify requirements with stakeholders (product team & client).
- Produce statements of work and functional documentation on product evolutions.
- Redact technical specifications (storyboard and functional specification) and interface with the development team.
- Promote value creation initiatives and c‑imp actions around the product.
- Deploy and maintain the solution.
- Manage release and coordinate execution of development tasks with developers.
- Conduct internal testing and coordinate with the testing team.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing and transform feedback into new requirements.
- Manage adaptive maintenance (product upgrades/patches).
- Provide Level 3 support, analyze and resolve incidents, and interface with development for fixes.
- Assist L2 team through training and knowledge transfer.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in IT product development and operations, cloud technology, and SQL.
- Experience in supply chain optimization.
- Experience with IT project/product management (nice to have).
- Knowledge of industrial operations (nice to have).
- Understanding of financial aspects of product management (nice to have).
- Fluent in English.
- Analytical, autonomous, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills—able to explain a complex product roadmap to a varied audience of business and technical people.
- Ability to adjust communication to different interlocutors and situations.
- Leadership qualities and networking ability to convince stakeholders.
- Understanding of change management and consensus building within a multi‑stakeholder community.
$60 000 – $75 000 per year (example; actual range may vary).
