Role Description

Accountant preferably from Indian alcohol (beer/liquor) industry who can manage financial records, ensures strict compliance with excise duties, GST, and TDS, RBI filings and performs inventory/warehouse audits. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable/receivable, preparing financial statements (balance sheets, P&L), and conducting internal audits for manufacturing or distribution units.

Key Responsibilities in the Indian Beer Industry:

- Tax & Compliance:
Managing GST, VAT, and Excise duty compliance, including filing returns and reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting:
Preparing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate, timely financial statements and General Ledger management.

Internal Audit:
Conducting audits of warehouses, branches, and distribution networks across India.

- Inventory & Costing:
Managing inventory valuation and cost accounting for production.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable:
Reconciling vendor payments and tracking accounts, particularly with distributors and retail partners.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
Supporting management with cash flow projections and budget monitoring.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a Certified Professional (CA, CMA, CS).

- Experience:

2–5 years of relevant experience, ideally in the manufacturing or FMCG (alcohol/liquor) sector.
- Technical

Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, Quick Books) and MS Excel.
- Knowledge:
Deep understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Direct/Indirect Taxes, and local state excise regulations

CTC:
Rs. 25,000 - 35,000 + Bonus
