About the Role
Salute is looking for an experienced  Senior EMEA Corporate Accountant  to support EMEA controllership and corporate accounting across a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
The role will be responsible for core corporate accounting activities, including  month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, quarterly reporting, financial statement preparation and review, statutory audits, and tax/VAT compliance coordination .

The position will primarily support entities across the  UK, Ireland, Netherlands, France, Germany, Poland, and Spain , while working closely with regional finance teams, Group Accounting, and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute the  month-end close process  across EMEA entities, including maintaining and reviewing approximately  10–30 balance sheet reconciliations .
Support  quarterly reporting , including consolidation inputs, variance analysis, and reporting deliverables.
Prepare and post  accruals, recurring entries, reversing accruals, and other ledger adjustments , with approximately  20–100 journal entries per month .
Assist with the preparation and review of  management and statutory financial statements  in accordance with applicable local GAAP and group reporting standards.
Support  statutory audits and annual compliance engagements , including preparing audit schedules and coordinating responses to auditor requests.
Work with third-party advisors on  income tax and VAT preparation  across EMEA jurisdictions.
Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of  system enhancements and automation initiatives .
Partner with regional finance teams, Group Accounting, and external advisors to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Contribute to  process improvement, standardization, and automation  initiatives across the EMEA controllership function.

Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting .
Minimum  5 years of progressive accounting experience , preferably within corporate accounting or controllership.
Experience working in a  multi-entity and multi-currency environment .
Strong knowledge of  month-end close, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations .
Experience supporting  statutory audits and annual compliance activities .
Familiarity with  income tax and VAT compliance  across European jurisdictions.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines.
Proficiency with  ERP/accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel .

Preferred Qualifications
Professional qualification such as  CA (ICAI), CMA (ICMAI), or ACCA , or actively pursuing one.
Experience working across multiple  EMEA jurisdictions , particularly the UK, Netherlands, France, Germany, Poland, and Spain.
Experience preparing statutory financial statements under  local IFRS requirements .

Experience with modern ERP platforms such as  Sage Intacct, SAP, or Net Suite .
Experience working in a  high-growth or private-equity-backed organization .
