Manager - Strategy and Operations

Overview

We are looking for a  Manager - Strategy & Operations  to join our  Business Operations team  and take ownership of key business initiatives across  user growth, engagement, monetization, and community operations .

You will be responsible for driving business outcomes by building and executing strategies, managing teams, improving processes, and working closely with Product, Growth, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams.

This role requires someone who can move seamlessly between  strategy and execution , identify opportunities, build scalable processes, and lead teams to deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

Own and drive key business and operational initiatives focused on  user growth, engagement, retention, and monetization .
Lead and manage a team responsible for community and business operations, including user-generated matchmakers, content creators, moderators, and other stakeholders.
Set team goals, define KPIs, track performance, and ensure consistent delivery against business targets.
Develop strategies to scale and improve the performance of matchmakers, content creators, moderators, and other community-led programs.
Identify opportunities to improve  monetization, user engagement, and overall business performance .
Work closely with the Product team to identify user needs, provide insights, and launch features or initiatives that improve engagement, retention, and monetization.
Build and improve operational processes, frameworks, dashboards, and metrics to make the business more scalable and efficient.
Analyse data and business performance to identify gaps, opportunities, and actionable insights.
Identify and nurture high-potential micro-influencers and community leaders within the FRND ecosystem to drive activities such as matchmaking, virtual gifting, radio shows, and other engagement-led initiatives.
Hire, train, mentor, and develop team members as the function scales.
Stay updated on social media, community, and consumer trends and translate relevant insights into actionable business initiatives.

✅ Requirements

3–6 years of experience in Strategy, Business Operations, Growth, Consulting, Product Operations, or a similar role.
Tier 1 institute graduate  — preferably IIT, BITS, IIM, NIT, or other leading institutions.
Prior experience managing and leading teams , with the ability to set goals, manage performance, and develop team members.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive business decisions.
Strong understanding of business metrics, operational processes, and performance management.
️ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to independently drive initiatives from  problem identification to execution and measurable outcomes .
Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
Comfortable working with data, dashboards, and business metrics.
⭐ Experience in community-led businesses, consumer internet, social platforms, marketplaces, or similar businesses is a plus.

The FRND team operates six days a week, with every second and fourth Saturday designated as a day off.
