Junior Fashion Designer

Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented  Fashion Designer  with 2-4 years of experience in ethnic or fusion wear. The role involves supporting the team across concept development, sampling, and execution, while ensuring the brand's design language and quality standards are maintained.

House of Ameyam, one of its premium labels, specialises in refined ethnic wear for men and women, blending traditional Indian textiles and techniques with contemporary silhouettes and a modern design sensibility.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in designing seasonal collections for men's and women's ethnic wear.

· Develop design concepts, mood boards, colour palettes, and fabric stories.

· Create detailed sketches, and technical drawings.

· Coordinate with sampling units, karigars, and vendors for prototype development.

· Follow up on sample corrections and approvals.

· Ensure designs are executed as per quality, fit, and aesthetic standards.

· Maintain design documentation, tech packs, and sample records.

· Stay updated on market trends, textiles, and craft techniques.

Required

Skills & Qualifications

· Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.

· 2-4 years of hands-on experience in ethnic, occasion, or premium wear.

· Strong understanding of Indian textiles, embroidery, and surface techniques.

· Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.

· Good knowledge of garment construction and fit.

· Strong coordination and communication skills.

· Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced studio environment.

Good to Have Skills

· Experience in setting up and managing brand stalls at premium exhibitions, fairs, and pop-ups.

· Basic understanding of visual merchandising, stall layout planning, and product presentation for luxury audiences.

· Ability to interact confidently with customers, explain design concepts, and represent the brand during exhibitions.
