About the Role
Chandigarh University is seeking a dynamic, confident, and professional  News Anchor / Media Anchor  to join its University Media Centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for hosting news bulletins, conducting interviews, presenting university-related content, and representing the institution across digital, broadcast, and social media platforms. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong on-camera presence, and the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Job Responsibilities
News Presentation & Anchoring
Anchor university news bulletins, special programs, live events, and digital media content.
Deliver information with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.
Conduct interviews with university leadership, faculty members, industry experts, alumni, and students.
Host academic, cultural, and institutional events as required.
Content Development
Collaborate with content writers and media teams to prepare scripts and presentation material.
Review, edit, and adapt content for on-camera delivery.
Stay updated on university achievements, events, and industry trends to create engaging presentations.
Media Production Support
Coordinate with video production teams during shoots and live broadcasts.
Participate in planning and execution of promotional videos, podcasts, and media campaigns.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of information presented.
Digital & Social Media Engagement
Present content for You Tube, social media platforms, and university digital channels.
Support the creation of engaging multimedia content to enhance audience reach and engagement.
Represent the university professionally across various media platforms.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Broadcasting, Public Relations, or a related field.
Professional certification in Anchoring, Broadcasting, or Media Presentation will be an added advantage.
2–6 years of experience in news anchoring, media presentation, broadcasting, digital media, or related fields.
Experience in television channels, digital news platforms, media agencies, educational institutions, or production houses preferred.
