Assistant Director

The Role
We’re looking for an  Assistant Director  who can bring structure, energy, and creative thinking to the production process.
You’ll work closely with the Director, content, production, and creative teams to take projects from  idea to execution  — helping shape concepts, prepare for shoots, coordinate production, and ensure everything runs smoothly on set.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands that great content comes from the combination of  strong storytelling, thoughtful preparation, and flawless execution .

What You’ll Do
Work closely with the Director to develop and execute  video concepts, interviews, shoots, and original content formats .
Assist with  pre-production planning , including scripts, treatments, shot lists, references, schedules, and production requirements.
Help translate creative ideas into practical and executable  shoot plans .
Coordinate with production, camera, sound, art, talent, and other crew members to ensure smooth execution.
Assist the Director on set and help manage the  day-to-day flow of the shoot .
Keep track of schedules, call sheets, equipment, locations, talent, and other production requirements.
Ensure the team is aligned on the  creative vision, shot requirements, and production timelines .
Help identify potential issues during production and find quick, practical solutions.
Work with the content and social teams to understand how footage can be captured and structured for  multiple formats and platforms .
Review footage and work with editors to communicate  creative direction, selects, references, and edit requirements .
Assist with revisions and post-production workflows to ensure the final output meets the creative brief.
Help maintain production documentation, assets, footage, and project files in an organised manner.
Research  visual references, storytelling formats, creators, production styles, and emerging content trends .
Support branded content, collaborations, shoots, events, and original IPs as required.

What We’re Looking For
1–3 years of experience  in filmmaking, video production, content production, or a similar role.
Strong understanding of the  video production process , from pre-production through post-production.
Good understanding of camera, lighting, sound, framing, shot composition, and basic production workflows.
Strong storytelling instinct and an ability to think visually.
Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
Comfortable working on set and handling  multiple moving parts under tight timelines .
Ability to communicate clearly with creative and production teams.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work quickly without compromising on the quality of execution.
Familiarity with editing workflows and software such as  Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve , or equivalent is a plus.
Comfortable working in a  fast-paced, collaborative environment .
Interest in  founders, startups, business, creators, media, and internet culture  is a strong plus.

Projects move smoothly from  concept → pre-production → shoot → edit → final delivery .
Over time, you take increasing ownership of productions and become a reliable creative partner to the Director.
