Location: Mohali
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Welfare & Wellbeing Leadership
Provide strategic oversight of institutional mechanisms supporting student wellbeing, counselling services,and welfare programmes, ensuring accessible and responsive support systems.
2. Grievance Redressal & Student Trust
Strengthen the university’s student grievance management framework, ensuring complaints are addressed with transparency, timeliness, and procedural fairness.
3. Discipline Governance
Administer the university’s student conduct and discipline framework, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and maintaining a fair and respectful campus environment.
4. Student Engagement Ecosystem Lead the development and oversight of student clubs, societies, and leadership platforms that promote extracurricular, leadership development, and community participation.
5. Institutional Collaboration & Policy Development
Work collaboratively with university leadership and academic units to design and implement policies that enhance student welfare, campus life, and institutional culture.
Leadership Expectations
The Director Students’ Welfare must demonstrate:
• Strategic leadership in student affairs and campus governance
• Integrity, fairness, and strong ethical standards
• Effective crisis management and decision-making capability
• Ability to build trust with students, faculty, parents, and administrators
• Data-driven management of student welfare systems
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
• Master’s Degree with minimum 65% marks from a recognized university.
• Ph.D. preferred in Management, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 18 years of experience in higher education administration, student affairs, or student
services.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as:
o Dean Students’ Welfare
o Director Student Affairs
o Associate Dean Students’ Welfare
o Equivalent administrative leadership role in a recognized university.
Demonstrated experience in student welfare governance, grievance systems, counselling services, discipline administration, and student engagement programmes is essential.
