CBSE School at Central Park Flower Valley , Sohna Road , Gurugram.
The Head of School ( CBSE) provides overall leadership and management of the school staff, academic curricula and co-curricular programs.
The incumbent is expected to define, monitor, and measure the performance of all systems and processes within the stream. In consultation with the Chairperson, the Head of School participates in developing the school values, vision, mission, goals, and strategies . S/He is then responsible for continuous improvement of the institution within the context of the School Strategic Plan. S/He will conceptualize and propose goals, strategies and programs to the Chairperson;

obtain School Board’s concurrence; and be responsible to the Board for the agreed upon results.

Specific duties and responsibilities of the HOS will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

1.  Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment :
Review the curricula prescribed by the Local authorizing body.
Liaise with state level and national level regulatory bodies to ensure that the school complies with all requirements.
Determine the subjects or the combination of subjects to be offered.
Identify subject wise and class wise requirement of teachers and staff.
Ensure that research-based pedagogical methodologies and school learning resources are being used effectively to implement the curricula.
Ensure consistent implementation of all school-wide policies and systems.
Ensuring that all examinations are conducted strictly in accordance with school and board policy. Monitor performance results of school and board examinations as per school policy.

2.  Personnel Supervision :
Conduct regular Staff, Educators and class teachers meetings.
Communicate and liaise closely with heads and program coordinators.
Evaluate teachers using the school’s teacher performance management and appraisal system and recognize and reward the good performance of teachers.
Monitor and ensure that programmes are delivered effectively as per timetable and lesson plans.
Monitor and ensure that teachers are constantly working to enhance delivery of the curriculum and plan & initiate appropriate teacher training programs as needed.
Supervise the maintenance of teacher's academic records.

3.  Student Affairs :
Develop, implement, and monitor systems and processes about academic matters and student affairs within the institution and present them to the Chairperson.
Counsel students regarding their academic, social, and personal problems in cooperation with the Deputy Head, respective programme coordinators and guidance counselors.
In coordination with the school leadership team, organize school-wide events such as Annual Day, Sports Day, and other such initiatives.
Enforce discipline among students as per the school’s discipline policy.

4.  Parent and Community Relations :
In consultation with the Chairperson and the school leadership team, develop a marketing strategy to enhance the visibility of schools .
Develop and maintain positive relations with the parents, making them feel welcome and drawing upon their expertise and suggestions as appropriate.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with a variety of local, social, government and business organizations for the purpose of providing opportunities for interaction for mutual benefit.
Invite leading personalities in various fields to lead and/or participate in school activities related to their expertise.

5.  Leadership :
Provide leadership in developing and implementing specific strategies and plans to achieve the school’s vision.
Review and analyze student performance data and periodically apprise the Chairperson on the progress of student performance.
Contribute and review information for the preparation of the school diary, staff handbook and policy manual.
Supervise preparation of school publications such as the school magazine and newsletters.
Conduct monthly review meeting with Chairperson on progress of the institution.
