Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Music Instructor (Composition & Production) based in Goa. The Music Instructor will work under the guidance of senior faculty to deliver classes and workshops in music composition, arranging, harmony, music production, and related subjects in the degree and diploma programs.
Responsibilities include developing curriculum materials, preparing lesson plans, assessing learner progress, and providing constructive feedback through assignments and projects.
The instructor will collaborate with faculty across programs, participate in academic and institutional events, contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum, and support an inclusive, student-centered learning environment.
Qualifications
Strong, demonstrable foundation in Western Music Theory and general Music knowledge, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and apply them to contemporary composition and production.
Familiarity with Music Education, including experience in preparing lesson plans, assessing learning outcomes, and using diverse teaching methods for different skill levels.
Competency on Piano sufficient for instruction, accompaniment, and illustrating harmonic and compositional ideas in class.
Experience with music composition and production tools (e.g., DAWs such as Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, or similar) and familiarity with studio workflows.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Music, Music Production, Composition, Music Education, or a closely related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Ability to create an inclusive, respectful classroom that supports learners from diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills, with reliability in meeting academic schedules and institutional expectations.
Prior teaching, mentoring, or workshop facilitation experience in music or performing arts is highly desirable.
