English Educator

Location: Mysore Road Tolgate

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated English Educator to support the academic development of student-athletes.
This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to integrate English instruction with athletic schedules, and a commitment to helping athletes excel both academically and in their respective sports. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering literacy skills, critical thinking, and effective communication in student-athletes while ensuring their educational success.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication & Coordination
Provide strong written and verbal communication support, ensuring clear, concise, and professional interaction.
Encourage students to practice effective communication through group discussions, debates, and presentations.
Time Management and Flexibility
Adapt lesson delivery to accommodate the often-fluctuating schedules of student-athletes.
Offer flexible learning methods and additional support for students who may need to balance training and travel with their academic work.
Coordinate with coaches and academic advisors to ensure that academic progress is maintained during peak athletic seasons.
Student Assessment and Feedback
Assess student-athletes communication skills through assignments, oral presentations, writing exercises, and class participation.
Provide constructive feedback that focuses on both academic development and real-world communication skills.
Track individual progress and offer tailored guidance to help student-athletes improve their English proficiency while managing their athletic commitments.
Classroom Management
Create an engaging and respectful classroom environment that encourages active participation and teamwork among student-athletes.
Implement effective strategies for managing group discussions, debates, and collaborative assignments.
Ensure that students remain focused on their studies, even during high-pressure athletic seasons.
Collaboration with Coaches and Staff
Work closely with athletic coaches to coordinate schedules and ensure that student-athletes academic and athletic needs are balanced.
Maintain open communication with parents, coaches, and other teachers to support student-athletes academic performance and well-being.
Participate in interdisciplinary projects that integrate English learning with sports-related subjects.
Requirements:
Strong communication. (both verbal and written)
Strong command of English grammar, literature, and writing.
Patience and creativity in addressing the diverse learning needs of students.
Classroom management skills to create a positive and productive learning environment.
Motivating the athlete-students to bring out their creative pursuits and high order thinking through the Subject Enrichment Activities

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Masters degree in English Education or Bachelors degree in English, Communication, or a related field.
Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience.
