Role Description  This is a full-time, on-site Senior Lecturer – Anatomy role based at Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences & Hospital in Hazaribag, Jharkhand. The Senior Lecturer will deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in anatomy for undergraduate and postgraduate dental students, ensuring content is current, evidence-based, and aligned with regulatory and university guidelines. Daily responsibilities include preparing teaching materials, conducting demonstrations and dissections where applicable, supervising laboratory work, and mentoring students in both academic and professional development.

The role involves designing and updating curricula, setting and evaluating assessments, contributing to academic advising, and participating in departmental and college-level committees. The Senior Lecturer will also be expected to engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, or academic projects, support accreditation processes, and collaborate with clinical and non-clinical departments to integrate anatomy teaching with dental practice.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in anatomical sciences, with the ability to teach gross anatomy, histology, and embryology relevant to dentistry.
Postgraduate qualification in Anatomy (e.g., M.D. / M.S. / M.Sc. in Anatomy or equivalent) from a recognized institution; eligibility as per Dental Council of India and university norms.
Previous teaching experience in anatomy at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in a medical or dental college, preferably at Lecturer/Senior Lecturer or equivalent level.
Demonstrated skills in curriculum planning, lecture preparation, practical session organization, and student assessment design.
Ability to guide students in research projects, academic writing, and presentation of scientific work.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse learners.
Strong mentoring and student-support orientation, with a commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful learning environment.
