About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management, located in the Mohali district. The Assistant Professor will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in supply chain management and related business subjects, using student-centred and outcome-based pedagogies. The role includes developing curricula and course materials, assessing student performance, mentoring learners, and supporting academic advising. The faculty member will conduct high-quality research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to research projects, grants, and academic conferences.
Day-to-day responsibilities also include participating in departmental meetings, accreditation activities, outreach to industry, and university service, such as committees, events, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in supply chain management and related business subjects.
Develop curricula and course materials.
Assess student performance and mentor learners.
Support academic advising.
Conduct high-quality research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
Contribute to research projects, grants, and academic conferences.
Participate in departmental meetings and accreditation activities.
Engage in outreach to industry and university service, including committees and events.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Supply Chain Management and related business domains.
Demonstrated experience or strong potential in University Teaching.
Experience or interest in Curriculum Development.
Proven or emerging Research capabilities in supply chain management or closely related fields.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Master’s degree (minimum) in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a closely related discipline; a PhD or enrolment in a doctoral program is strongly preferred.
Ability to use digital tools and learning management systems for teaching, evaluation, and student engagement.
Commitment to ethical academic practices, student mentoring, continuous professional development, and contributing to the university’s research and institutional goals.
