Role Description  The Faculty – Computer Science role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sharjah. The faculty member will design and deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate computer science courses, including lectures, tutorials, labs, and assessments aligned with program outcomes. Responsibilities include developing and updating course materials, integrating current industry and research trends, and using diverse teaching methods to support student engagement and success.

The role involves supervising student projects, providing academic advising and mentoring, and offering timely feedback to support learning. The faculty member will also participate in curriculum review, accreditation activities, departmental meetings, and institutional initiatives aimed at enhancing teaching quality and student experience.
Qualifications
Strong subject-matter expertise in Computer Science, with the ability to teach core concepts and emerging areas effectively.
Proficiency in Programming, with experience teaching or using languages and tools commonly applied in academic and industry settings.
Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, assessments, and learning resources aligned with program objectives.
Knowledge or teaching experience in Data Science and related analytical or computational methods.
Knowledge or teaching experience in Cybersecurity, including concepts of network security, information assurance, and secure coding practices.
Advanced degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline; a doctorate is preferred, a relevant master’s degree with significant teaching experience may be considered.
Prior higher education teaching experience, with evidence of effective classroom management and student-centered pedagogy.
Ability to integrate technology-enhanced learning tools and learning management systems into teaching practice.
Strong communication, collaboration, and intercultural skills, with a commitment to inclusive and learner-focused education.
Engagement in scholarly, industry, or professional development activities related to computer science and education is an advantage.
