Role Description The Drama Teacher will lead engaging drama classes and workshops for students at various skill levels in an on-site setting in Borivali. This part-time role involves planning and delivering lessons, teaching acting fundamentals, and guiding students through improvisation, scene work, and character development. The Drama Teacher will design and refine age-appropriate curricula, prepare students for internal showcases and performances, and provide constructive feedback to support their artistic growth.
Responsibilities also include classroom management, coordinating with other instructors and administration, and maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment. The teacher will communicate regularly with the school regarding student progress, scheduling, and any performance-related needs.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Drama and Performing Arts, with experience on stage or in related performance settings.
Skills in Teaching and Teaching Acting, with the ability to engage and motivate learners of diverse ages and backgrounds.
Experience in Curriculum Development for drama or performing arts programs, including lesson planning and assessment.
Ability to create an inclusive, supportive classroom that encourages creativity, collaboration, and confidence.
Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
Prior experience teaching in a school, academy, or training institute is preferred.
Relevant education or training in theatre, drama, performing arts, or education is an advantage.
Availability to work part-time on-site in Borivali, including evenings or weekends as required for classes and performances.
