Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Education Counselor role based in Rajarhat. The Education Counselor will guide prospective and current students in selecting suitable programs, understanding admission processes, and planning their academic pathways. Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions, explaining course structures and eligibility, and supporting students with career and higher education options. The role involves handling inquiries through walk-ins, phone calls, and emails, maintaining accurate student records, and coordinating with academic and administrative teams.
The Education Counselor will also participate in outreach activities, information sessions, and events to promote the institute’s programs and support student engagement.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Educational Consulting and Education to advise students on program selection and academic planning.
Candidates should possess skills in Student Counseling to provide guidance on academic progress, personal challenges, and educational choices.
Candidates should possess skills in Career Counseling to support learners in exploring career paths, internships, and further study opportunities.
Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to interact effectively with students, families, faculty, and external stakeholders.
Relevant bachelor’s degree (preferably in Education, Psychology, Management, or related field); a master’s degree is an advantage.
Prior experience in educational counseling, admissions, or academic advising is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Rajarhat, manage multiple inquiries, and maintain organized documentation.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and comfort with using student information systems or CRM tools.
Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a student-centered approach to guidance and support.
