Role Description   The Psychology Teacher & Student Counselor (PGT) will teach senior secondary students, delivering well-structured lessons aligned with the curriculum and academic standards,   while also serving as a dedicated counselor to support the student body.
Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting classroom sessions, preparing teaching materials, assessing student performance, and providing constructive feedback.
As a counselor, the role involves providing personal, emotional, and academic counseling, conducting mental health awareness sessions, and offering a safe space for students navigating behavioral or social challenges.
The teacher will collaborate with colleagues   and administration to implement school-wide wellness initiatives   , participate in school events, and maintain accurate academic   and confidential counseling records   . This is a full-time, on-site role based in Brahmapur.
Qualifications    Strong academic background in Psychology with the ability to explain concepts clearly and accurately.
Demonstrated teaching experience at the senior secondary level, preferably as a PGT in a recognized institution.
Proven experience or specialized training in student counseling, crisis intervention, and adolescent mental health.
Effective communication skills for engaging students, collaborating with staff, and communicating empathetically with parents or guardians.
Competence in lesson planning, classroom organization, and the use of varied instructional methods and resources.
Relevant qualifications in Education, such as a

B.Ed. or equivalent teacher training, along with a postgraduate degree in Psychology (specialization in Clinical or Counseling Psychology is highly preferred  ).
Ability to create an inclusive, learner-centered classroom environment that supports diverse learning and emotional needs.
Strong assessment, evaluation, and record-keeping skills, with familiarity in modern pedagogical and counseling practices.
Commitment to professional ethics, student welfare,   confidentiality,   and ongoing professional development.
