Role Description   The Academic Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in Perintalmanna. This role involves meeting and advising students on their academic goals, evaluating their interests and strengths, and guiding them toward suitable programs and skill-development pathways. The Academic Counsellor will conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions, assist with course selection, and provide information on Skilzon’s AI-integrated programs and career mapping options.

Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate student records, following up on learners’ progress, coordinating with faculty and administrative teams, and organizing academic guidance workshops or orientation sessions. The role also requires clear communication with students and families, addressing concerns, and ensuring that each learner receives supportive, unbiased, and informed guidance.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in Student Counseling and Academic Advising, with the ability to support learners at different stages of their education.
Strong Career Counseling and Education-focused guidance skills to help students align academic choices with long-term professional goals.
Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly and listen actively to student needs.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
Experience working in academic institutions, training centers, or career guidance settings is highly beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in Perintalmanna, manage multiple student cases, and maintain confidentiality and ethical counseling practices.
Comfort with using digital tools and basic data management for tracking student progress and program outcomes.
