Role Description The Assistant Professor in Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology is a full-time, on-site role based at GGI in Khanna. The role involves delivering lectures, practical demonstrations, and clinical skills training in operation theatre and anesthesia technology, aligned with the curriculum and institutional standards. The person in this position will design lesson plans, develop learning materials, supervise laboratory and clinical practice, and assess student performance through assignments, exams, and practical evaluations.
Responsibilities include mentoring students, guiding them in projects and internships, contributing to academic research or scholarly activities, and participating in departmental meetings and curriculum development. The role also entails supporting accreditation and quality assurance processes, maintaining professional and ethical standards in teaching, and collaborating with healthcare institutions for clinical exposure and placements.
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of operation theatre technology, anesthesia procedures, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative care.
Strong teaching, mentoring, and classroom management skills, with the ability to engage a diverse group of students.
Ability to design curricula, lesson plans, and assessment tools that align with outcome-based education and regulatory requirements.
Competence in clinical supervision and practical training, ensuring adherence to safety, infection control, and ethical standards.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and clinical partners.
Master’s degree or higher in Operation Theatre Technology, Anesthesia Technology, or a related allied health discipline; relevant teaching or clinical experience preferred.
Familiarity with educational technology, learning management systems, and basic computer skills to support teaching and documentation.
Commitment to continuous professional development, research or scholarly engagement, and contribution to departmental and institutional growth.
