Role Description The Social Science and English Teacher and Science role is a full-time, on-site position based at Sri Nalanda Global Academy in Bengaluru South. The educator will plan and deliver engaging lessons in Social Science and English, and support science-related learning activities for middle school learners, aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of assignments and evaluations.
The teacher will create an inclusive classroom environment, manage student behavior positively, and collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum materials. Additional responsibilities may include participating in staff meetings, parent interactions, school events, and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience teaching Middle School learners with age-appropriate classroom management skills.
Strong Social Studies knowledge and the ability to connect concepts to real-world contexts.
Effective Communication skills for clear instruction, feedback, and interaction with students, families, and colleagues.
Curriculum Development and Lesson Planning abilities to design structured, engaging, and outcome-focused learning experiences.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Social Sciences, English, or a related field;
B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
Ability to teach in English with clear, fluent spoken and written communication.
Comfort with basic educational technology and digital tools for teaching and assessment.
