Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Pedagogy
Studio Instruction:  Lead core Architectural Design Studios across undergraduate (B.Arch) and/or graduate (M.Arch) levels, guiding students through conceptual development, spatial design, representation, and technical integration.
Lecture Courses:  Teach specialized subjects such as Building Materials & Construction, Architectural History & Theory, Environmental Controls / Sustainable Design, Digital Fabrication, or Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Advising & Mentorship:  Direct undergraduate thesis projects, advise graduate research, and mentor students on portfolio development, career paths, and licensure preparation.
Curriculum Development:  Assist in updating studio briefs, syllabi, and coursework to reflect emerging technologies, sustainable practices, and accreditation standards (e.g., NAAB, COA, or regional equivalent).
2. Research, Scholarship & Creative Practice
Design & Academic Output:  Maintain an active profile of scholarly or creative work through peer-reviewed journal publications, design competitions, exhibitions, or professional practice.
Grant Writing:  Pursue internal and external funding to support research projects, community design initiatives, or technology labs.
Industry Engagement:  Stay current with advancements in parametric design, sustainable building technology, adaptive reuse, or urbanism, integrating these findings into classroom teaching.
3. Institutional & Community Service
Participate in departmental committees (e.g., admissions, curriculum review, accreditation preparation, exhibition curation).
Assist in organizing student exhibitions, guest lecture series, workshops, and design charettes.
Engage in community outreach, local design advocacy, or interdisciplinary collaborations across university faculties.
Qualifications & Experience

Required:

Terminal Degree:  Professional Master of Architecture (M.Arch) with substantial practice experience, or a Ph.D. in Architecture or a closely related field.
Professional Licensure:  Architectural license/registration (e.g., AIA, NCARB, COA, RIBA, or equivalent local board) preferred or actively in progress.
Teaching

Experience:

Minimum 1–3 years of university-level studio teaching experience (including Teaching Assistantships during doctoral studies).
Technical Proficiency:  Mastery of contemporary design and visualization tools (Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Grasshopper, or digital rendering software).
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
Demonstrated expertise in emerging fields such as computational design, mass timber construction, climate-resilient urbanism, or robotic fabrication.
Strong communication, teamwork, and cross-cultural mentoring abilities.
Track record of published research, design awards, or built work.
