Senior Safety Officer

Location: Bāwal

Ensure compliance with applicable safety laws, rules, and regulations (Factories Act, State Factory Rules, OSHA standards, etc.).
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, SOPs, work permits, and safe operating procedures.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across the plant.
Identify unsafe acts and conditions and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Carry out Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for all plant activities.
Ensure implementation of engineering, administrative, and PPE controls to mitigate risks.
Plan and conduct safety induction and periodic refresher training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences.
Ensure contractors comply with plant safety rules and permit-to-work systems.
Monitor contractor activities and ensure safe working practices.
Enforce PPE compliance for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Participate in safety committee meetings and drive safety initiatives.
Recommend improvements to safety systems and processes.
Support ISO 45001 / EMS / EHS audits and certifications.
