Assistant General Manager Project

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced  Projects professional  to lead and manage end-to-end infrastructure, expansion, automation and factory setup projects. The role will be responsible for ensuring that projects are planned and executed within defined timelines, budgets and quality standards, while coordinating with architects, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end  infrastructure and factory development projects , including buildings, office spaces, utilities, ancillaries and production facilities.
Plan and monitor  machine installation, plant expansion and automation projects  from concept to commissioning.
Coordinate with  architects, consultants, contractors and vendors  to ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, quality and timelines.
Monitor project  scope, schedules, budgets, resource requirements and progress  and ensure timely completion.
Review project deliverables and ensure that the required  quality and technical specifications  are met.
Coordinate with internal teams including  Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Automation, EHS, Finance and Administration  for smooth project execution.
Manage  statutory approvals, permissions, documentation and regulatory compliances  required for construction, expansion and factory operations.
Identify project risks, delays and cost overruns and take timely corrective actions.
Track contractor performance, project milestones, material requirements and site readiness.
Ensure proper  testing, commissioning, handover and operational readiness  of completed projects.
Support  capacity expansion, automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects  across manufacturing facilities.
Maintain project documentation including  project plans, BOQs, budgets, progress reports, approvals, drawings and completion records .

Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering  or relevant technical discipline.
15+ years of experience  in project management, factory infrastructure, plant expansion, industrial projects or manufacturing setup.
Experience in managing  multiple projects simultaneously  and coordinating architects, contractors, consultants and vendors.
Experience in a  manufacturing/industrial environment  will be preferred.
