ABOUT

THE ROLE We are looking for an exceptionally strong  Battery/BESS technical professional  who can help us engineer, develop and commercialize technically superior battery products for international markets.
Technical expertise is the #1 priority for this role.
We are  NOT looking for a conventional or relationship-led salesperson whose primary strength is persuasion.
Our philosophy for technical products is different:
Build a technically excellent product that solves the customer's problem, performs reliably and competes strongly — and let the strength of the product make the sale easier.
We therefore need someone who deeply understands  battery engineering, battery systems, cells, pack design, BMS, ESS/BESS, inverter integration, communication protocols, diagnostics and competing technologies.
Your job is not simply to sell what we already have.
Your job is to understand the market, study competing products, identify where they are technically better or worse, understand what customers actually need, and work directly with manufacturers and R&D teams to help us  build a technically stronger product.
You should be capable of:
Market/Competitor Research → Customer Requirements → Technical Analysis → Manufacturer/R&D Development → Testing & Validation → Product Improvement → Customer Solution → Commercial Success
WHAT YOU WILL OWN  1. Battery Engineering & Product Development
You should have strong practical knowledge of:

• Lithium-ion/LFP and emerging Sodium-ion technologies

• Battery cells, modules and pack architecture/design

• Battery Management Systems (BMS)

• ESS/BESS architecture and integration

• Cell selection and series/parallel configurations

• Voltage, Ah/kWh, C-rates, DoD, SoC/SoH and cycle life

• Cell balancing and protection systems

• Thermal behaviour and thermal management

• Battery safety and failure mechanisms

• CAN/CANBus, RS485/Modbus and other communication protocols

• Battery-to-inverter integration

• Firmware/configuration and monitoring systems
You must be able to  read and challenge a technical datasheet , not simply repeat what a manufacturer has written.
2. Competitor & Market Intelligence
A major part of the role is understanding what the best products in the market are doing.
You will:

• Study competing battery/BESS products and technologies

• Compare cells, BMS, specifications, architecture, performance and features

• Understand why customers choose competing products

• Identify technical gaps in our own products

• Monitor developments in LFP, Sodium-ion, BMS and BESS

• Identify features and technologies we should develop

• Benchmark our products against leading competitors

• Recommend product improvements to management and manufacturers
We want someone who continuously asks:
“Why would a technical customer choose our battery over the best alternative?”
And then works with us to make sure there is a strong technical answer.
3. Manufacturer & R&D Coordination
You will be in direct technical contact with our manufacturers, BMS suppliers and R&D teams.
You will:

• Define technical product requirements

• Evaluate cell/BMS/pack configurations

• Challenge unrealistic specifications or claims

• Coordinate product improvements

• Develop custom battery configurations

• Coordinate BMS/firmware modifications

• Review prototypes and test results

• Investigate field failures

• Work with R&D on corrective actions

• Verify technical specifications before publishing datasheets
