Credit Analyst | Fixed Income

Location: Sabarmati

We are looking for an experienced Credit Analyst to join our Fixed Income. The role will be responsible for evaluating credit opportunities, conducting detailed financial and business analysis, assessing issuer creditworthiness, and providing insights to support investment and transaction decisions across the fixed-income portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed credit analysis of corporates, NBFCs, financial institutions and other debt issuers.
Analyse financial statements, cash flows, leverage, liquidity, profitability, capital structure and debt-servicing capability.
Evaluate bonds, NCDs, structured debt, private placements and other fixed-income instruments.
Prepare comprehensive credit appraisal notes, issuer profiles, investment memos and transaction analyses.
Assess credit risks, industry dynamics, business risks, financial risks and promoter/management strength.
Analyse existing and proposed debt structures, security cover, collateral, guarantees, covenants and repayment mechanisms.
Conduct financial modelling, ratio analysis, sensitivity analysis and stress testing.
Monitor issuer performance, financial results, rating actions, industry developments and other material credit events.
Track and analyse credit ratings, rating rationale and rating-agency reports.
Provide independent views on credit quality, risk-return considerations and suitability of debt opportunities.
Support evaluation of new issuers and identify potential investment / transaction opportunities.
Work closely with debt capital markets, sales, dealing, investment, risk, legal and compliance teams for transaction evaluation and execution.
Participate in management/issuer discussions, due diligence and credit review meetings.
Prepare investor presentations, credit briefs, teasers and other transaction-related materials.
Maintain ongoing monitoring reports and early-warning indicators for existing exposures.
Keep abreast of interest rates, credit spreads, bond yields, regulatory developments and macroeconomic trends impacting fixed-income markets.

Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of Credit Analysis and Fixed Income markets.
Good knowledge of debt instruments, bond structures, credit ratings, covenants and security mechanisms.
Strong ability to analyse financial statements and assess creditworthiness.
Excellent financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
Strong understanding of corporate finance and capital structure.
Ability to interpret rating-agency reports and industry research.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to form independent analytical views.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience : 2 to 5 Years
Candidates with experience in Credit Research, Fixed Income, Investment Banking, Credit Rating Agencies, Banks, NBFCs, Asset Management or Corporate Finance will be preferred.

Educational Qualification
CA / CFA / MBA / PGDM – Finance / relevant financial qualification from a reputed institution.
