Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented  Medical Coding Team Lead  to supervise and guide a team of medical coders while ensuring accurate, compliant, and high-quality coding of medical diagnoses and procedures. The ideal candidate will foster collaboration, maintain productivity standards, and drive continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of medical coders
Foster a collaborative and performance-driven team environment
Coding Oversight
Review and assign appropriate codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
Ensure accuracy and adherence to coding guidelines
Quality Assurance
Conduct regular audits and provide constructive feedback
Maintain high coding accuracy and compliance standards
Workflow Management
Monitor productivity, allocate tasks, and manage priorities
Ensure timely completion of coding assignments
Communication & Coordination
Liaise with cross-functional departments
Update the team on policies, guidelines, and changes
Training & Development
Organize training sessions and knowledge-sharing programs
Keep the team updated with industry standards and best practices
Performance Management
Conduct performance reviews
Identify growth and improvement opportunities
Problem Resolution
Address operational issues and implement effective solutions
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure adherence to HIPAA and healthcare regulations
Prepare reports on coding activities and performance metrics
Support strategic planning initiatives

Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field (preferred)
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification (required)
Minimum 5 years of medical coding experience, including 1 year in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of coding standards, healthcare regulations, and reimbursement systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage teams and meet deadlines effectively
