Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented  Junior System Administrator  to join our IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers who are eager to kick-start their career in system administration. You will assist in maintaining, upgrading, and managing software, hardware, and network systems to ensure seamless and secure IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Linux).
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
Perform regular system security monitoring and respond to potential threats.
Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access control.
Support and verify regular backup operations.
Document system configurations and standard operating procedures.
Collaborate with the IT team to enhance system efficiency and security.
Install and configure commonly used software (MS Office, antivirus, remote support tools).

Required

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Basic understanding of system administration (Windows/Linux).
Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.
Knowledge of Active Directory is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively.
Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Power Shell).
Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

Certifications (Added Advantage)

CompTIA A+, Network+, or Linux+
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
