Lead Consultant - Level 2 Network Engineer, Routing and Switching

Inviting applications for the role of  Lead Consultant -       Level 2 Network Engineer, Routing and Switching
We are seeking a skilled Level 2 Network Engineer with strong expertise in routing and switching. The role involves managing network incidents, performing configurations and upgrades, and ensuring network stability and performance. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, or similar networking technologies.
Responsibilities
Monitor and troubleshoot network incidents related to routing and switching.

Perform configuration changes on routers and switches as per change requests.

Assist in the implementation of new network solutions and improvements.

Respond to tickets/escalations as per SLA timelines.

Collaborate with other IOPS   team   to guide and resolve escalated issues.

Coordinate with vendors or service providers for hardware issues.

Maintain documentation related to network diagrams, configurations, and changes.

Participate in scheduled maintenance and network upgrade activities.

Ensure compliance with network security policies and standards

Draft the detail changes without any errors, present the same in CAB with confidence.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and standards.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in networking.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing large-scale enterprise networks.

Proficiency in network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs, etc.

Hands-on experience with network hardware, including Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, and other leading vendors.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills
ITIL Foundation Certified

CCNP (Routing & Switching or Enterprise) CCIE   certifications   preferred.

Experience with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus/Meraki switches, ISR/ASR routers and Meraki AP platforms.

Deep knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and MPLS.

Expertise in switching technologies: VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, Ether Channel, QoS.

Expertise in WAN technologies: VPN, SD-WAN, MPLS.

Familiarity with IPv4/IPv6 subnetting, ACLs, NAT, and DHCP.

Experience in high-availability and failover technologies.

Scripting knowledge (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
