JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing
-Technical Writer specializes in creating and standardization of documentation, specifically for manufacturing processes, equipment, procedures, and safety protocols. They ensure that all manufacturing-related information is clear, accurate, and accessible to various stakeholders like operators, engineers, and maintenance teams. Their role is crucial for ensuring consistency, efficiency, safety, and compliance in the cell manufacturing environment.
Technical writer's role is to ensure that technical information is communicated effectively, accurately, and understandably to both technical and non-technical audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop & Standardize Documentation of Manufacturing Processes
Create Manuals, user guides, help files, release notes & troubleshooting procedures for operators and technicians to resolve common issues during production or equipment malfunction. Compile frequently asked questions (FAQ) and common troubleshooting tips to assist workers in diagnosing problems without the need for expert assistance. Translation of technical language or if any other country language as required. (Process Documentation, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions & Process Flow Diagrams).
Integrate diagrams, images, videos, and other visual aids to enhance understanding, particularly in explaining intricate manufacturing processes or machinery functions.

Develop Safety guidelines & Procedures – considering Plant standards as well Govt applicable compliances.
Write and maintain documents required for regulatory compliance, such as those related to OSHA, ISO standards, other applicable Govt regulations, and industry-specific guidelines for India & UK Plants.
Develop quality control documents, including inspection checklists, testing procedures, and documentation for compliance audits.
Create & Ensure that all documentation is version-controlled and consistently updated to reflect any changes in the manufacturing processes or regulations and standardization.

Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for improvement.
Break down complex technical concepts into simple, easy-to-understand language for non-technical users.
Collaboration with cross function team
Work closely with Vendors, Line builders, subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, developers, product managers, and other team members to gather information.
Become familiar with the product, service, or system in question to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Identify the target audience’s to write content that caters to their needs.
Indentify new tools, equipment, or methods being introduced into manufacturing and create accurate and thorough documentation.
Accuracy: A keen eye for detail is essential, as technical documentation often involves precise instructions and specifications. A small mistake in a manual could lead to equipment malfunctions, safety incidents, or inefficiencies in the manufacturing process.
Consistency:
Ensuring that the terminology, format, and style remain consistent across all documentation to reduce confusion and maintain professionalism.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

5 to 7 years of experience as technical writer in manufacturing industry – preferably in Cell manufacturing industry.
Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter & Excellent in communication.
Experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
Expertise in NLP APIs and use of following latest technology.
Help Authoring Tools (HATs) - Familiarity with tools like Mad Cap Flare, Robo Help, or Doc-To-Help to create interactive documentation.
Diagramming Tools - Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io to create process diagrams, flowcharts, equipment layouts, and schematics.
Graphic Tools - Knowledge of image editing tools like Snagit and Adobe Photoshop to capture and annotate images or screenshots for instructional manuals.
Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Experience with CMS tools like Confluence, SharePoint, or document repositories to organize and manage documentation, ensuring easy access and version control.

Role Specific Qualifications/Certifications

Trained Technical writer
-Certification from STC / TWC or from any authorized institute
Trained in Manufacturing Six Sigma & ISO 9001 – preferred if any certification
Document management systems certification from any authorized institute.
