Senior SQL Database Developer

Location: Mohali

Key Responsibilities

Database Development & Management

- Design and develop relational databases (OLTP/OLAP) to support business applications and reporting.

- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for performance.

- Handle database administration tasks, including performance monitoring, tuning, and security.

- Ensure database integrity, security, and reliability.

- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate data from PMS, EHR, billing, and other healthcare systems.

Data Warehousing & ETL

- Design schemas and data models to store data from multiple sources into the enterprise data warehouse (EDW).

- Build, optimize, and maintain ETL pipelines to consolidate and transform data.

- Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy for analytics and dashboards.

- Create queries and stored procedures to support BI and reporting needs.

- Support BI developers in creating Power BI dashboards and reports.

Collaboration & Support

- Work closely with Business Analysts and BI Developers to understand reporting needs.

- Support automation and analytics initiatives in collaboration with Python/RPA teams.

- Document data structures, schemas, ETL processes, and workflows for ongoing knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in database development, data engineering, or data analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools or Python for data pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts (star schema, snowflake, fact/dimension modeling).

- Experience with query writing and database administration.

- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

Preferred Skills
- Exposure to cloud or self-hosted BI/data environments.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
