Job Summary:
Service Operations Engineer III
We are seeking a highly skilled MMS Engineer with min 5-7+ years of relevant experience to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of core mms messaging platform and managing our daily MMS tasks with
extensive hands-on experience with MM7 and MM4 interfaces.
This role involves ensuring the high availability, scalability, and reliability of MMS services. The engineer will work closely with vendors, carrier operations and internal teams to troubleshoot complex issues, optimize message routing, and roll out new messaging features and services.
This role requires a strong background in provisioning, troubleshooting, programming, deployment, testing etc, with an added advantage of experience in AI technologies. The candidate must be flexible to work across different time zones to collaborate with stakeholders in the AU and US regions.
Key Responsibilities include:
Handle MMS Operations
Handle daily MMS tasks, including provisioning, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of our MMS services.
Interface Management
Work extensively with MM7 and MM4 interfaces, ensuring seamless communication and resolving any issues.
Provide technical expertise by utilizing your programming skills to automate tasks, improve system efficiency, and develop new features.
AI Integration
Leverage your experience with AI to contribute to the development and implementation of AI-driven solutions within our MMS platform.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Liaise with stakeholders in the AU and US regions, requiring flexibility to work around the clock as needed.
Eligibility Criteria:
Technical Skills Required
Protocols:
Deep expertise in MM7 and MM4 interfaces
MMS Architecture:
Deep understanding of MMSC components
Networking:
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs.
Cloud & Dev Ops:
Proven experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible.
Programming & Databases:
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and scripting.
Systems:
Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
Troubleshooting:
Strong analytical skills for analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with global teams.
Proactivity:
Self-motivated and capable of working independently in fast-paced environments.
Flexibility:
Work on a flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends if required.
Professional Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Minimum 5-7+ years of relevant experience with MMS systems, preferably in a carrier or large-scale messaging aggregator environment.
Leadership & Mentorship:
Ability to share knowledge and lead changes.
