Job Summary
About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Oracle Cloud Global Payroll UK Functional Consultant to lead the configuration, implementation, and support of Oracle Payroll for our UK operations.
Please note:
This is a highly technical/functional consulting role for Oracle Cloud consultants. Candidates whose primary experience is processing payroll as an end-user will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
UK Payroll & Statutory Compliance: Lead the configuration of UK-specific payroll requirements, including PAYE, National Insurance Contributions (NIC), Student Loans, Court Orders, and Workplace Pensions (Auto-enrolment).
RTI & Year-End Processing: Manage and configure Real Time Information (RTI) submissions (FPS, EPS, NVR) and oversee UK tax year-end processes (P60, P11D).
Complex Absence Management: Implement end-to-end Absence Management solutions integrated with UK Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) and Statutory Maternity/Paternity Pay (SMP/SPP/ShPP). Configure leave-adjusted accruals, work-schedule-based duration conversions, and qualification band entitlements.
Advanced Fast Formulas: Develop and maintain complex Fast Formulas to address custom UK payroll requirements, including custom hold-pay, negative salary handling, dynamic costing, and company-specific occupational sick/maternity pay schemes.
Data Migration & Architecture: Extensively utilize HCM Data Loader (HDL) and HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL) to migrate and update workers, elements, element entries, balance feeds, UDTs, Salary Bases, and payroll relationships.
Custom Extensions: Design custom SQL-based Descriptive Flexfields (DFFs) to fetch live assignment, absence, and payroll data on required UI pages.
Client Advisory: Act as the primary SME for UK payroll, capturing business requirements, translating them into scalable Oracle solutions, and providing post-go-live managed support.
Required
Skills & Experience:
5+ years of hands-on experience specifically as an Oracle Global Payroll Functional Consultant or Implementation Specialist.
UK Payroll Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of UK payroll rules, taxation, and statutory compliance within the Oracle ecosystem.
Project Lifecycle: Proven experience handling end-to-end configuration, testing (UAT), and data migration.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot system errors and optimize payroll workflows.
Communication: Excellent stakeholder management skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and business users.
