Associate Salesforce SPM Administrator:
The SPIFF and Salesforce Sales Performance Management (SPM) Administrator is responsible for supporting, configuring, and continuously improving incentive compensation and sales performance management capabilities across Salesforce SPIFF and related Salesforce SPM solutions. This role partners closely with Sales Operations, Finance, Compensation, Rev Ops, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure compensation plans, calculations, reporting, data flows, and end-user experiences are accurate, scalable, and aligned to business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer, configure, and maintain Salesforce SPIFF and Salesforce SPM capabilities, including territory planning, quota planning, incentive compensation plans, calculation rules, workflows, approval processes, statements, dashboards, and reporting.
Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, Compensation, and Rev Ops teams to translate compensation plan requirements into scalable system configurations.
Support the setup, testing, validation, and deployment of new compensation plans, accelerators, bonuses, quotas, and territory-related rules.
Monitor compensation calculations, data feeds, and payout outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely issue resolution.
Maintain integrations and data flows between Salesforce SPIFF, Salesforce CRM, ERP , HRIS, data warehouse, and other enterprise systems as applicable.
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, audit views, and operational metrics to provide visibility into plan performance, commissions, attainment, exceptions, and disputes.
Troubleshoot user issues, calculation discrepancies, data quality concerns, access requests, and system defects; coordinate resolution with internal teams or vendors as needed.
Support user acceptance testing, regression testing, release readiness, and production validation for new features, enhancements, and plan changes.
Create and maintain process documentation, configuration guides, business rules, test scripts, training materials, and support playbooks.
Provide training and day-to-day support to sales, sales leadership, compensation administrators, and operational stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve automation, simplify compensation administration, reduce manual effort, and strengthen governance and auditability.
Required Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in Salesforce administration , Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Incentive Compensation Management, or a related business systems role.
Hands-on experience supporting Salesforce SPIFF, Salesforce SPM , or comparable incentive compensation platforms such as Xactly, Varicent, Callidus, Anaplan, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of sales compensation concepts, including quotas, commissions, accelerators, bonuses, crediting rules, plan eligibility, attainment, and payout processes.
Experience with Salesforce SPM capabilities beyond incentive compensation, such as quota planning, territory planning
Experience gathering requirements, documenting business rules, configuring system logic, and validating outputs with cross-functional stakeholders.
Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM data objects, reports, dashboards, user access, data quality, and change management practices.
Ability to analyze complex compensation scenarios, reconcile data discrepancies, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and commitment to data accuracy.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to support business users and collaborate across Sales, Finance, IT, and Operations teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Salesforce Administrator certification or equivalent Salesforce platform experience.
Experience with SQL, data modeling, data transformation, APIs , middleware, or enterprise integrations.
Experience supporting compensation plan audits, dispute workflows, SOX controls, or finance-related governance processes.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methods, release management, backlog grooming, and production support practices.
Experience partnering with external vendors, implementation partners, or managed service teams.
